Hyundai MIB International ("we", "us", "our") operates the hyundaimib.com website and the MIB Counter (MIB 계수기) companion mobile app for our banknote-counting machines. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account information (optional). If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address, name, and profile image. Signing in is optional — it lets us link your machines to your account so they can be restored if you reinstall the app or change phones.
• Machine and usage data. Identifiers of the machines you connect (such as MAC address or serial number), counting activity (counts, totals, batches), and any device nickname or location you enter.
• Approximate location. We may estimate the general location of a machine or of the app from its IP address to help identify where a machine is used.
• Reports and media. Issue reports, photos, and videos you choose to submit through the app.
• Notification identifiers. A push-notification token so we can send you alerts, for example when a software update is available.
• Technical data. Standard log data such as IP address, device and browser type, and timestamps.

2. How we use information

• Provide and operate the app and website
• Link machines to your account and restore them across your devices
• Provide maintenance and after-sales support, including sharing relevant information with your authorized dealer
• Send you service notifications
• Improve our products and services
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues

3. How we share information

• With your authorized dealer, to provide service and support for your machines.
• With service providers who process data on our behalf — for example Google and Apple (sign-in), Cloudflare (hosting and delivery), and Resend (email) — under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
• When required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, after which we delete or anonymize it.

5. Your choices and rights

• Signing in is optional; you can use the app without an account.
• You can unlink machines from your account, sign out, or request deletion of your account data by contacting us.
• Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information.

6. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Children

Our products and services are intended for business use and are not directed to children.

8. International users

We operate internationally. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the Republic of Korea.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
