1 Real Time Software Upgrade

Currency exchanges handle many foreign currencies, and the detection software for those currencies needs to be updated frequently. Given the pace of updates, manual upgrades are impractical for a busy operation. If the banknote counter can integrate with the exchange's management software, both security and efficiency improve significantly.

2 Auto Setting

Normally, the operator has to press buttons multiple times to switch to the desired currency. Given the number of currencies a currency exchange handles, manually changing the setting for every new customer is inconvenient and inefficient. Auto Setting detects the first banknote placed in the hopper and automatically switches to the correct currency software. With this function, the operator simply places the money — no button presses needed.

3 Serial Number Capturing

Sometimes customers may claim they received a counterfeit banknote from the exchange. If the exchange keeps a record of the serial numbers of every banknote given to the customer, such disputes can be resolved quickly. This requires a banknote counter with serial number capture and supporting PC software.

4 Blackbox at Cashier's Desk

There is another way to prevent disputes with customers. A customer display with a built-in camera can act as a blackbox, recording the scene, conversation, and transaction amount right next to the customer. When a dispute arises, the cashier can easily look up the recorded data.
